FSB reminded of responsibility for disseminating false information about the operation in Karabulak

The Russian FSB Directorate for Ingushetia published a statement in which residents of the region are asked not to contribute to the spread of false information about the counter-terrorism operation (CTO) being carried out in the village of Karabulak. RIA Novosti reported this.

The department reminded of criminal liability for such acts.

Previously it was reported that at 19.30 Moscow time on Saturday in the city of Karabulak in the Republic of Ingushetia, a CTO regime is in effect. This is due to the discovery of a group of terrorists in one of the houses. The blocked terrorists intended to organize and carry out high-profile terrorist crimes, the department reported.

As stated by the FSB, the dissemination of false information about the CTO falls under Article 207.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. It is noted that official reliable information will be provided as the operational situation changes by the regional operational headquarters and the information center of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee.
