The head of the region noted that for his courage, dedication, bravery and services in ensuring the security of Russia, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, Shaty was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage. “A low bow to the parents who raised the hero! Later, the press service of the regional government clarified that the state award was presented to the widow of Lieutenant Colonel Sergei Shatoy and his parents. The ceremony of handing over the order took place at the border department of the FSB of Russia in the Bryansk region.
