TYUMEN, April 14 In populated areas of the Tyumen region, which are located in a zone of probable flooding, the population is being vaccinated against hepatitis A, reports the information center of the regional government.
“In the Tyumen region, vaccination against hepatitis A continues for residents of municipalities in the area of probable flooding,” the statement said.

First of all, participants in the liquidation of the consequences of an emergency situation, children under 14 years of age, workers whose activities are related to the production and sale of food and drinking water, public utilities and consumer services, specialists of medical and educational organizations are subject to vaccination. Additionally, mobile teams are working in areas of expected flooding to vaccinate people at risk.
In total, it is planned to vaccinate 16,028 residents, up to a thousand people are vaccinated per day, the information center reported the day before.
A state of emergency due to flooding in the Tyumen region was introduced on Monday. According to regional authorities, on the Tobol and Ishim rivers it is possible to reach maximum water levels — about half a meter above historical maximums. 51 settlements, 1,847 residential buildings and 7,291 people are at risk of flooding. The most tense situation with the release of water onto the floodplains is expected by April 20, the peak – April 23-25.
To minimize and eliminate the consequences of the flood in the Tyumen region, a group was formed, which included more than 12 thousand people and over 2.6 thousand pieces of equipment. To inform the population on issues related to the flood, there is a single hotline number 122, an alert system via SMS messages, and the website flood72.rf has been launched.
