Dacia could release a new small Spring hatchback: first image

It is expected that such a new product (if the project is given the green light) will appear on the European market in 2027.

The Romanian brand Dacia belongs to the French group Renault. She presented her new electric cross-hatchback Spring in February of this year. As Kolesa.ru noted earlier, this new product is the result of a deep restyling of its predecessor. Despite the fact that this five-door has just gone on sale, the manufacturer is probably already thinking about what will happen next with this model.

Many mass manufacturers are refusing to develop new products in the city car segment. At first glance, Dacia is moving in a similar direction, presenting the Spring as a subcompact SUV. However, it is possible that in the future the model will have not only a cross-version, but also a regular small five-door hatchback.

It is assumed that such a Dacia Spring could enter the European market as early as 2027. So far, this project has likely not been given the green light, so there are no official details at this time. The designer of the Spanish publication Motor.es offers his own version of the potential appearance of the five-door.

Judging by the render, the future hatchback may have a single-volume body with a large sloping windshield and a high “waist” of side glazing. The model in the image received branded LED head optics in the form of horizontal “games”, which are connected to each other using a wide plate and luminous strokes, and in the center of the element is the current brand logo.

At the bottom part of the front bumper there is a large hexagonal air intake with a black mesh pattern; in the lower part it is supplemented with horizontal stripes. The Dacia Spring also has a black roof in the rendering, as well as central pillars and traditional side mirror housings of the same color. The front doors received regular handles painted in body color, while the rear doors had the mechanism hidden in the roof pillars.

It is expected that the closest relative of the potential five-door will be the fourth generation Twingo, which is still presented as a concept only. According to preliminary data, the models will share the AmpR Small platform (this is the new name for the CMF-BEV “trolley”), on which the recently introduced larger all-electric hatchback Renault 5 is currently based.

Information about future technology There is no new product yet, it is assumed that it will be exclusively “green”. Probably, the range of the new Dacia Spring hatchback on a single charge will be from 250 to 320 km. According to the publication, the price tag of such a new product can vary from 10 to 15 thousand euros (equivalent to approximately 1 — 1.5 million rubles at the current exchange rate). Note that the cost of the recently introduced cross-hatch on the old-world market starts at 18,900 euros (about 1.9 million rubles).
