Police officers detained in Dagestan, possibly the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Chechen Republic, General Alikhan Tsakaev. This was reported on Wednesday, April 17, by REN TV, citing a source in law enforcement agencies.

According to unconfirmed data from the channel, the incident occurred on April 14 near the Gerzel checkpoint. Several police officers approached the black SUV, in which the minister was probably located, pulled him out of the passenger compartment and laid him on the asphalt.

The reason for the arrest is still unknown. There were no official comments either.

The publication writes that Major General Alikhan Tsakaev is 47 years old. He has headed the Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Chechen Republic since 2022. Over the years of his career he received many awards.
