MOSCOW, April 18< /strong> Director Fyodor Petrukhin died at the age of 72, the Union of Cinematographers of Russia reported.
“»At the 73rd year of his life, our friend and colleague, member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, feature film director Fedor Fedorovich Petrukhin (01/04/1952 — 04/18/2024) passed away,” says a message on the Telegram channel.
The Union of Cinematographers of Russia and the Guild of Directors expressed condolences to the director’s relatives.
In 1989, Petrukhin graduated from the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Directors at the USSR State Committee for Cinematography, the directing department, and the workshop of Rolan Bykov. In 1991, he made his debut as a director of the film «Dina». Petrukhin directed the films “On the Murom Path”, “Victory Day”, “Kenzel”, “Sunflower”, the television series “The New Life of Detective Gurov”, “The New Life of Detective Gurov. Continued”, “The Odyssey of Detective Gurov”, as well as a documentary film «Kremlin Cadets».
