Two prisoners raped a cellmate in a police station car on the way from the hospital. The Times of India writes about this.
The crime was committed in the state of Haryana. The woman was taken from prison for treatment to the hospital due to health problems. She rode back with two other convicts. While the police officers accompanying them were busy with documentation, both men attacked and abused the woman.
The victim spoke about what happened and wrote a statement. An investigation is underway, but no charges have been brought yet.
It is known that the prisoner herself has been serving a sentence for 10 years in a drug trafficking case. In prison, she attempted suicide several times.
