The volume of individuals' funds on deposits increased by 52.8 billion rubles. in the first quarter of 2024. This is 8 times more than for the same period last year, said Deputy Chairman of the Board of DOM.RF Bank Alexey Kosyakov.
Most often deposits are made in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod , Krasnodar and Penza. The top 10 cities also included Ufa, Rostov-on-Don, Voronezh, Yekaterinburg and Togliatti.
“Since the beginning of the year, 76 thousand people have opened deposits with us, of which 41% signed up for a savings product for the first time. Clients show the greatest interest in deposits in rubles, but the popularity of placements in yuan has also increased significantly — more than doubling. We are also seeing increased demand for savings accounts and other investment instruments, which was facilitated by the federal advertising campaign on TV that started in March,” noted Alexey Kosyakov.
In terms of the timing of savings products, which depositors made deposits in 2024; deposits for 3 and 6 months are in the lead — 42% and 55%, respectively. 1% of all placements are deposits for a period of one year, another 0.8% — for 3 years.
