Gold at the E+ Awards 2024 was given for the corporate social responsibility program of the developer STONE and the charitable organization Nochlezhka. The project took first place in the special category “Impact/Society and Sustainable Development/Equality of Opportunity (DE&I)”.
The competition jury noted the developer’s significant contribution to promoting the problem of homelessness and the development of social projects. In total, more than 200 projects were shortlisted for the award. STONE was presented among the finalists in the nomination along with projects of such large business players and organizations as MTS, X5 Retail Group, Russian Basketball Federation and VK.
STONE's CSR program stood out for its non- profit in nature: promotion is carried out using PR tools and volunteer activities, without the use of marketing resources. At the same time, cooperation has a high image effect for the company: according to STONE’s internal research, every fifth candidate for a vacancy in the company is informed about the CSR program.
In 2021, STONE became the general partner of Nochlezhka and the first company in its industry to systematically begin to solve the problems of homelessness. The point of contact between STONE and Nochlezhka is the creation of a comfortable urban environment for every resident, regardless of his social status. The company works with the organization in three areas: financial support, participation in volunteer events and assistance in finding jobs for Nochlezhka clients.
“We are proud to be recognized by a reputable award in the industry: this award was the result of three years of work by the company and the NPO. Homelessness is part of city life, and sustainable companies that care about creating a comfortable city cannot turn a blind eye to the social gap and unequal conditions for using the urban environment. Therefore, one of our tasks is to raise awareness about the problems of homeless people, which allows us to change society’s attitude towards it,” shared Director of Communications and Sustainable Development at STONE Tatyana Zhelanova.
“Three years of partnership between a premium segment business and an NGO that works with a stigmatized topic is our personal reason for pride. We believe that together we can do a lot, and the E+ Awards 2024 is another important confirmation that we are succeeding,” says Director of Nochlezhka in Moscow Daria Baibakova.
< p class="doc__text">In the fall of 2023, with the participation of STONE, a new project to help women with addiction, “Halfway House,” was launched. As part of the project, STONE provides consultations to the company's HR specialists, which will help homeless women prepare for interviews and get a job, and therefore gain independence and stability. Also in 2023, STONE launched a series of charity CYCLE rides in favor of Nochlezhka, where each kilometer traveled brings in 1 thousand rubles as a donation. This activity became an opportunity for participants to join charity in an entertaining format and provide real help.
