Hero of Russia, Aviation Major General Sergei Lipovoy told how Russian troops will take Odessa. In his opinion, they are unlikely to storm this large port city head-on, writes NEWS.ru.

The general believes that taking control of Odessa is a matter of time for Russia. But there will be no assault, no one will launch a frontal attack on the huge metropolis.

“Most likely, Odessa will be surrounded, blocked and the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be asked to surrender in the form of an ultimatum. In case of refusal, centers of resistance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be destroyed,” he suggested expert.

Earlier, American billionaire Elon Musk called the issue of Russia's capture of Odessa the last remaining issue in the Ukrainian conflict.
