MOSCOW, May 1.Russian President Vladimir Putin greeted the participants, organizers and guests of the International Music Festival “Road to Yalta” and noted that the initiative to hold the festival serves to preserve the cultural and historical heritage, the memory of the events of the Great Patriotic War, the feat of the people who defended freedom and defeated Nazism, corresponding The telegram was published on the Kremlin website.
“Dear friends! I welcome you to the International Music Festival “Road to Yalta”. Your public, patriotic creative forum is well known both in Russia and far beyond its borders. Its program includes our favorite songs, bright performances by recognized masters and emerging artists, memorable meetings and friendly communication. I would especially note that the initiative to hold the festival serves to preserve our cultural and historical heritage, the memory of the events of the Great Patriotic War, the feat of our people who defended the freedom of the Fatherland and defeated Nazism,” the telegram says. 
The President of the Russian Federation added that the great spiritual moral example of the generation of winners today, during the most difficult trials, is a reliable support, helps in educating young people, strengthening the values that unite and consolidate our society.
“I am sure that the festival will arouse great interest and will become a bright event among the events dedicated to Victory Day. I would like to note the selfless active work of the festival organizers, and of course wish its guests and participants health, unforgettable impressions and all the best!” Putin added.
The sixth international music festival “Road to Yalta” takes place at the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow, during which songs about the Great Patriotic War are performed in the native languages of foreign vocalists-competitors from 15 countries. The festival was first held in 2019 in Yalta. Since 2022, it has been held in the Russian capital.
