At the beginning of May 2024, almost 40 million square meters are under construction in Russia. m of energy efficient housing out of 110 million sq. m, currently under construction. According to the portal nash.dom.rf (EISZHS, operator — DOM.RF), this is about 3 thousand apartment buildings with energy efficiency class A and higher in 78 regions.
“In Russia, energy-efficient housing construction is actively developing. This is facilitated by the “green” GOST R for apartment buildings prepared by the Ministry of Construction and DOM.RF, targeted financial support measures, and systematic work to improve the quality of data on the energy efficiency of the housing stock. All these measures create conditions for comfortable living for citizens, since energy-efficient houses significantly reduce utility bills. At the beginning of May this year, about 3 thousand apartment buildings with energy efficiency class A and higher are being built in 78 regions, amounting to almost 40 million square meters. m out of 110 million sq. m of housing being built today,” said I. O. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin.
According to calculations by DOM.RF, made on the basis of data from developers’ project declarations, the most energy-efficient housing in absolute terms is being built in the Moscow region (16 million sq. m), Tyumen (1.9 million sq. m) and Sverdlovsk (1.8 million sq. m) areas. Also among the leaders are Primorsky Krai (1.5 million sq. m.), St. Petersburg (1.4 million sq. m.). List of regions where more than 1 million square meters are being built. m of housing with energy efficiency class A and above are closed by the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Penza Region (1.1 million sq. m each).
“The reduction in energy intensity of the economy, including in the construction industry, has not only the economic effect. We understand that building “green” housing means reducing the environmental load on our cities and creating a comfortable living environment. Currently, energy-efficient apartment buildings are being built in the regions for 800 thousand families. This trend needs to be developed, so DOM.RF, at its own expense, is implementing a program to support developers of energy-efficient housing in 39 regions,” said Vitaly Mutko, General Director of DOM.RF.
List of regions by share energy efficient housing under construction is led by the Amur region (92.7%, or 351.6 thousand sq. m). Also among the leaders are the Kamchatka Territory (91.7%, 114.3 thousand sq. m), the Komi Republic (91%, 83.8 thousand sq. m).
