Two days ago, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense published a motivational video, which turned out to be an exact copy of an American advertisement ten years ago. This was noticed by users in the comments on the ministry’s Facebook page*, according to a publication on the publication’s Telegram channel.
It is noted that the video is “almost entirely” copied from a Jeep commercial filmed ten years ago for the Super Bowl. In addition to the fact that the credits “We wait. We believe. We pray” match, it also contains a video sequence identical to the American advertisement. In the comments under the video, Internet users wrote indignantly that the military department should be “ashamed of stealing American videos.”
According to «Media Detector», the video was filmed by the Good Media company, owned by Alena Tymoshenko, the wife of the adviser to the Minister of Defense on media and communications, Kirill Tymoshenko.
Later, the official himself denied this information. However, he confirmed that this social video “was a repetition of the American video,” emphasizing that no one intended to hide this. He also demanded that a number of media outlets apologize to him and his wife personally for false information about involvement in plagiarism.
