“There is no future without technology, we cannot compete without it,” Volodin noted. He said that at a meeting of deputies with the Prime Minister, Mikhail Mishustin promised to discuss the idea of Manturov’s promotion up the career ladder with Vladimir Putin. The President supported the idea that the First Deputy Prime Minister should be responsible for industry (and it is the head of state who approves the structure of the government, the State Duma Speaker recalled)
“This once again emphasizes that the State Duma is being heard,” Volodin emphasized.< /p>
He also reminded his colleagues in the chamber that “all the candidates are well known to us.”
— The economy grew to 3.6% at the end of last year, we are overcoming challenges. And we must note that the chairman of the government did the right thing in suggesting that people who do not need to study do not need to start all over again. Manturov's candidacy is well known to us. He started in industry, as the head of the defense industry, deputy minister, minister, deputy prime minister,” the State Duma speaker recalled the milestones of Denis Valentinovich’s career.
Mr. Manturov himself promised to deal with the most important tasks in his new post. Ensuring technological sovereignty, creating a new line of aircraft, cars, rolling stock, increasing defense industry production volumes, and updating the infrastructure of Rosrezerv will fall on his shoulders.
In addition, the candidate for first deputy prime minister spoke about plans to work on creating everything that will improve the quality of life of Russians. These are innovative medicines, high-performance equipment for farmers, equipment for energy security, environmental transport, and unmanned vehicle technologies.
As for the defense industry, today the Russian defense industry is the most powerful, Manturov noted.
— But the geopolitical situation dictates the need to constantly improve technology and speed up work on promising models. This is a subject of special attention,” he concluded.
On the issue of robotization, Manturov will have to not only increase production volumes, but also change the mentality of the business. So far, enterprise managers are not willing to use robots.
“It has always been easier to hire people and fill needs, but now, in conditions of great need for personnel, the issue of robotization is acute,” Manturov noted.
He said , that last year only four enterprises in Russia produced robots, primarily industrial ones. This year there are already seven such enterprises.
