ST. PETERSBURG, May 14. The son of a woman, whose remains were found in the village of Shushary in St. Petersburg, was imprisoned in a pre-trial detention center for 2 months, the joint press service of the city courts reports on the telegram channel.
“The Pushkinsky District Court of St. Petersburg issued a decision to select a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to Nikolai Tatarenko, accused of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 105 (Murder) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation,” the message says. 
< br />Earlier, the operational services reported that law enforcement officers, who received a message about the discovery of human remains in Shushary, found the body of a woman in two garbage bags in a field between house 304 on Moskovskoe Highway and a grocery store. The woman’s son was detained on suspicion of murder, the Russian State Investigation Service for St. Petersburg reported. The basis for his arrest was that traces of a crime were found in his apartment.
“»The investigator explained that the cause of death had not been established, but upon examination of parts of the body, a blunt injury was discovered on the head. And in the neck area, a stab wound. The investigator added that, with a greater degree of probability, death occurred precisely from separation of the head from the body,” the press service of the courts reports details.
According to the press service, the accused did not utter a word during the trial.
