MOSCOW, May 13. Singer Lyubov Uspenskaya, commenting on the claim of People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Philip Kirkorov for 10 million rubles because of her statement, advised him to “go down to the people «and objectively assess reality.
“I was sure that after all these “naked parties” he somehow had to, if not change himself, then change his behavior… In the situation when our country is fighting in the Northern Military District… when for a fatal outcome the courts pay less than asks Kirkorov in two words, I want to ask: “Filya, are you sure you live in the Russian Federation now, and not on Mars?”… If you are a People’s Artist, then at least a little descend to the people and the life of the country,” Uspenskaya wrote in her account on the social network Instagram*.
On Monday, the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow began to essentially consider Kirkorov’s claim against Uspenskaya for the protection of honor, dignity and business reputation for 10 million rubles. The reason was her interview with blogger Alena Zhigalova, in which the artist was called a “misogynist.” Uspenskaya's representative said that they do not recognize the stated claims and consider them «illegal, unfounded and not subject to satisfaction.»
Earlier, Kirkorov’s lawyer Alexander Dobrovinsky said that in the lawsuit they ask the court to oblige Uspenskaya to refute all the words “with which she tried to discredit the honor and dignity” of Kirkorov, to collect moral compensation in the amount of 10 million rubles , as well as about 2 million more for expenses. At the same time, today in court it became known that at the moment we are talking about 10 million, the “expendable part” has not yet been reported to the court.
The lawsuit also includes Zen.Platform and VKontakte, on whose resources the interview was posted. The plaintiffs do not demand monetary compensation from them.
