Angela Rayner has called on Jeremy Hunt to publish any advice he receives due to an apparent conflict of interest, despite refusing to publish his own tax data.
Deputy Leader of the Labor Party is being investigated over the sale of her Stockport council home in 2015.
Ms Rayner, who denies any wrongdoing, has so far refused to publish the legal advice she received about the sale because it was «personal».
However, on Wednesday she demanded that Mr Hunt has published any advice it has received regarding ground rents after The Sun newspaper reported that it had rejoined talks with the government on the issue, despite withdrawing six months ago because it is the lessor.
Ms Rayner said: “The Chancellor now has serious questions to answer about his involvement in setting important ground rent policies and whether they will have a direct personal impact on his vast property portfolio.
“Jeremy Hunt should publish any advice he has received regarding conflicts of interest to determine how he can remain independent in this case.”

Ms Rayner has previously been accused of hypocrisy after it was revealed she demanded Tory candidate Jill Mortimer release her tax details during the 2021 by-election.
The Labor Party leader is accused of lying about her former home in Vicarage Road, Stockport, which she bought under a Right to Buy scheme and then made a £48,500 profit when she sold it eight years later.
Mrs Rayner was registered at Vicarage Road for five years after marrying her now ex-husband Mark Rayner in 2010, while he was listed at another address in Lowndes Lane, a mile away.
However, neighbors claim that it was registered at the Vicarage Road address.

She also faced the question of whether she had to pay capital gains tax on the profit she made from the sale due to confusion over whether it was her primary residence.

Sir Keir Starmer stood by his deputy during the row and insisted he did so. there is no need to see the advice Ms Rayner received.
It is clear she gave the advice to party officials, who passed it line by line.
A source close to Housing Secretary Michael Gove , said he was «working closely with Treasury colleagues» as part of efforts to cap ground rents and make the most significant changes to the tenancy system in a generation.
A Treasury spokesman said: «The Chancellor has done everything necessary statements, listened to the advice of the ministry and acted in accordance with this advice.”
