MOSCOW, May 17. German football specialist Thomas Tuchel on the press -conference announced his resignation as head coach of Bayern Munich at the end of the season.
Initially, Tuchel's contract with Bayern was valid until 2025. In February, the management of Bayern announced an agreement with the coach to sever cooperation from June 30, 2024. Subsequently, there were media reports that Tuchel could remain in his current position.
““This is my last press conference at Säbener Strasse. Our February agreement is valid. We recently discussed it again, but did not reach an agreement,” Tuchel said on Friday, whose words are quoted on Bayern’s social media page X.
Tuchel took charge of Bayern in March 2023. Under his leadership, the team became the German champion at the end of the 2022/23 season. This season, Bayern failed to become Bundesliga champions for the first time since 2012.
