ST. PETERSBURG, May 17. The incident at the Budyonny Military Academy of Communications in St. Petersburg is not of a terrorist nature, Governor Alexander Beglov said.
As reported by the Leningrad Military District, ammunition from the Great Patriotic War spontaneously detonated on the territory of the Military Academy. Seven soldiers were injured and were sent to a medical facility of the Ministry of Defense.
“The incident at the Budyonny Academy of Communications is within the area of ​​responsibility of the Ministry of Defense and is not of a terrorist nature,” Beglov wrote in his Telegram channel.

He called on St. Petersburg residents to trust only official information.
