Telegraph: Britain is not ready to fight a full-scale war alone
Today, Britain is not ready to fight a full-scale war because the country's army has lost its skills, losing its efforts to fight insurgents in other states. This was reported by The Telegraph, citing a statement by Major General James Martin of the United Kingdom Army.
He recalled that London took part in armed clashes in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. According to a military expert, these actions led to a reduction in the size of the army and reached its smallest size in the last 300 years. There has also been a reduction in ammunition and spare parts.
Martin believes that equipping British soldiers in a long-term conflict is still «a lot of work.» The analyst claims that London has begun to rely only on its allies, since the British army is not at full strength.
