< br />MOSCOW, May 18. The head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadayev, named the main priorities of the new national program “Data Economy” — one of them is ensuring the availability of the Internet in the most remote corners of Russia.
“The priorities are how to ensure the availability of the Internet in the most remote corners of our country. To do this, it is necessary to create an orbital constellation of satellites and support telecom operators, where it is not economically profitable for them to build infrastructure, that is, roads, small settlements with a population of up to 300 people «, the minister told reporters.
Another priority will be the digitalization of public administration systems — new digital services will appear for citizens in the healthcare sector, digitalization of support measures will be carried out, and the work of public services will be improved. As part of the new national project, support for the IT industry will also continue: the state will promote the emergence of new competitive products, as well as the transition of companies to domestic solutions.
Working with personnel will be another priority. “We believe that programming education should begin in high school, all students should receive basic digital literacy skills and digital competencies, no matter what specialty they receive. Plus, we must improve the quality of training our developers in modern technologies,” explained minister
Shadayev also outlined another priority — cybersecurity and the fight against cyber fraud. According to him, this is an important area of activity. “The presidential decree lists this block as a top priority. Reducing the number of crimes using digital technologies and ensuring the sustainable functioning of our information infrastructure,” added the head of the Ministry of Digital Development.
