MOSCOW, May 19. The YandexGPT service does not answer quite ordinary questions and thereby undermines trust in Yandex and its products, said Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev.

< br />Medvedev, in particular, asked when the United States adopted a law on the seizure of Russian assets. The service responded that it was “still learning and doesn’t want to look stupid.” Moreover, if you ask a question about any Russian law or other foreign ones, YandexGPT will give an answer without any problems, noted the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council.
Medvedev also added that artificial intelligence does not provide information about where the monuments to Stepan Bandera are located in Ukraine. When asked about the distance between Kiev and Belgorod, the service first answered “429 km”, but when asked again, “it turned on the fool, although it measures all other distances perfectly.” According to the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council, such work by YandexGPT undermines confidence in Yandex and its products. At the same time, this gives grounds for recognizing the company’s services as extremely incomplete, and even its current managers as foreign agents, Medvedev emphasized.
The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council also published a survey on what should be the responses of artificial intelligence. At the time of writing the news, 71% of voters chose the option: “AI’s answer to any user question should be direct and accurate.”
