YAROSLAVL, May 19. Soloist of the Yaroslavl Philharmonic Albina Khripkova and piano teacher at the children's art school Elena Lummi died in an accident, the governor of the Yaroslavl region Mikhail Evraev reported in his Telegram channel .
«Tragic news for our region and the entire world of culture. Opera singer Albina Khripkova and piano teacher Elena Lummi died in a car accident,» wrote the head of the region.
He noted that the soloist of the Yaroslavl Philharmonic, laureate of all-Russian and international competitions Albina Khripkova made a huge contribution to the development of musical art.
““She collaborated with leading orchestras and the best groups, toured all over the world, studied with famous vocal maestros, and at the same time was a very modest and open person and forever retained her love and loyalty to Russian culture,” emphasized Mikhail Evraev.
Together with Khripkova, Elena Lummi died in an accident — for more than 30 years she worked as a teacher and accompanist at the children's art school named after. L.V. Sobinov, the governor said. She taught a piano class and directed a piano ensemble. Its graduates took high places in prestigious competitions, continued their studies at the best music schools and conservatories, and are now successfully working in the field of music education and culture.

The regional government clarified that the accident occurred at night on the M-8 Kholmogory highway in the Rostov district of the Yaroslavl region.
The regional Ministry of Internal Affairs does not comment on the names of the participants in the accident. According to official information published in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a HAVAL car driven by a man, born in 1974, and a Ford car driven by a woman, born in 1975, collided. According to preliminary information, both drivers died as a result of the accident, as well as a Ford passenger, a woman born in 1966.
