MOSCOW, May 19. At the IV Moscow Interior and Design Week, the best tea set was chosen; participants were asked to design a set of five items — a cup, saucer, teapot, sugar bowl, milk jug, reports the press service of the organizers.
The only condition is the design of the tableware must have been inspired by Moscow. 15 participants competed for the title of best service. The winner was student Viktor Kobets. His project was able to convey the beauty and uniqueness of Moscow through minimalist design.
“When creating the design, I was inspired by the duet of rich Moscow architecture and the technological achievements of the city. The fundamental objects of the concept were the shapes of the Evolution, Federation and Mercury towers, but I could not help but notice the developed transport system of Moscow. When spilling a tea drink, the relief is tinted, which makes it possible to turn an awkward spot into an aesthetic map of one of Moscow’s modern transport infrastructure facilities,” said the winner.
The winner’s design project was presented at the IV Moscow Interior and Design Week at the Central Exhibition Hall «Manege».
Moscow Interior and Design Week is held for the fourth time. This year, 985 furniture and decor manufacturers gathered at Manege. The business program includes more than 150 Russian and foreign speakers. Various master classes, excursions and performances by guest stars are also held for guests.
