NIZHNY NOVGOROD, May 21The level of digital maturity in Russia has more than doubled since 2019, to 75%, said Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.
“The digital maturity indicator was almost 75% compared to 32% in 2019… The economic effect from the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) in industries and government administration has already amounted to more than 1 trillion rubles,” Chernyshenko said at a meeting with digital transformation leaders within the CIPR -2024.

Chernyshenko noted that mass socially significant services have been completely transferred online, and the share of households with broadband Internet access has increased to 86.4%. At the same time, the level of investment in domestic IT solutions in the field of AI has tripled.
According to the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government, the growth rate of investment in domestic IT solutions will double by 2030. Now it is also important not to slow down the pace of work by joining forces in the implementation of the new national project “Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State.”
In turn, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko recalled that Russian President Vladimir Putin has identified digital transformation as one of the country’s national development goals; for its implementation, it is first of all planned to develop the domestic infrastructure for data transmission and processing, and create our own electronic platforms in key sectors of the economy and public administration. “Our goal is to transfer 80% of Russian organizations to use domestic solutions by 2030,” he added.
Earlier in May, Grigorenko, as Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, was given the authority to oversee digital development, communications, the introduction of AI and antitrust policy. He is also responsible for the national project «Digital Economy».
