The Chairman of the Board of Directors of NOVIKOM, General Director of JSC RT-Finance Andrey Kondratyev spoke about the development vectors, goals and priorities in the activities of the Rostec subsidiary bank in an interview with Kommersant-Dengi magazine. The interview is timed to coincide with a large-scale campaign to change the positioning and corporate style of the bank.
In the interview, Andrey Kondratyev paid attention to qualitative changes, which have occurred in the bank since its foundation. Thirty years of work, experience in successfully overcoming a number of economic crises and a long-term strategic partnership with Rostec have allowed the bank to become a truly strong player in the financial market and accumulate deep industry competencies and expertise.
In particular, over the past seven years, the bank has consistently demonstrated high performance results: the loan portfolio has grown more than five times and now exceeds 900 billion rubles, and assets have exceeded 1 trillion rubles. In the ranking of the largest banks in Russia, NOVIKOM already occupies 16th place by this indicator.
“The qualitative changes that took place in the bank over so many years were no longer reflected by the previous brand. The time has come for rapid updates for the bank, which led to the decision to launch a rebranding process,” explained the Chairman of the Board of Directors of NOVIKOM.
At the new stage of development, the financial institution is not going to slow down: further growth of assets is planned in the next five years. In accordance with NOVIKOM's strategy, by 2030, RUB 1.5 trillion is predicted. assets. The achievement of such ambitious goals will be facilitated by the development of a strategic partnership with Rostec, diversification of the client portfolio, expansion of interaction with local authorities, business communities and the growth of the network of regional representative offices.
As Andrey Kondratyev noted, the bank’s main priority is to assist industrial enterprises in fulfilling the tasks they face to achieve technological leadership.
To help overcome the personnel shortage in industry, the bank, together with its shareholder, the Rostec state corporation, developed a social program “Development”, unique for the market. Using its tools, business managers can encourage and motivate their employees.
The digital transformation of the bank will be an important factor in the successful implementation of the updated strategy. NOVIKOM plans to develop remote service channels, Internet and mobile banking, information security, digitalization of business processes.
Answering a journalist’s question about the launch of a rebranding campaign, which started on May 15, the CEO of JSC ” RT-Finance noted that the brand update is intended to demonstrate the ambitions and aspirations of the bank. His idea – “Development Engineers” – includes an appeal to clients, the Russian engineering corps, and the characteristics of the bank itself, which acts as a designer of financial instruments for the implementation of projects.
“Whatever the changes in processes, procedures, identity, the bank’s mission – to be a reliable financial partner of Russian industry – remains unchanged. All other strategic guidelines are built based on this main goal,” concluded Andrey Kondratyev.
