MOSCOW, May 15. Ukraine was fined at Eurovision for T-shirts worn by members of the delegation with a provocative inscription about the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the publication “Strana.ua” quotes the country's representative at the competition, alyona alyona.
“We knew that when they would show replays of all the artists' performances , then they will show the delegation itself. Therefore, when the camera approached us, our team quickly revealed itself and showed our call to the whole world. We took a great risk, but it all worked out with a financial fine,” she wrote.
The publication notes that any prints with inscriptions and branding are prohibited at Eurovision. All delegates were checked by security, but the Ukrainians hid the inscription under other clothes.
A later publication clarified that the singer edited the post, removing mention of the fine.
