The Xcite brand, owned by AVTOVAZ, launched its first model – the X-Cross 7 crossover, which is a slightly redesigned Chery Tiggo 7 Pro . At the moment, the Xcite X-Cross 7 is offered only with front-wheel drive, a 1.5-liter petrol turbo engine producing 147 hp. and a CVT, the price in the basic Enjoy configuration is 2,499,000 rubles.
The Xcite brand was officially launched in January of this year, the X-Cross 7 crossover premiered in March, and is now available for purchase. The Xcite X-Cross 7 is produced at the former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg, which is now called Avtozavod St. Petersburg LLC and belongs to US, that is, it is state-owned. On May 24, the state news agency TASS reported that 317 employees of Avtozavod St. Petersburg LLC were placed on downtime until the end of the month, but the reason for this downtime was not specified in the message.
The Xcite brand will conduct business under the wing of the Lada brand and sell its cars through its dealerships. At the first stage, Xcite cars will be available from dealers in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Voronezh, Samara, Togliatti and Nizhny Novgorod, then the sales geography will expand.

The Xcite press service calls the X-Cross 7 a mid-size crossover, but we would classify it as a compact class: overall length – 4500 mm, width – 1842 mm, height – 1705 mm, wheelbase – 2670 mm. The stated ground clearance is 190 mm, the approach angle is 20 degrees, and the departure angle is 21 degrees. Salon – 5-seater, trunk volume – 475 l (with the backrests of the rear sofa folded – 1500 l). The front suspension is McPherson type, the rear is independent multi-link. The standard tire size is 225/60 R 18.
The Russian crossover differs from the original Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, in fact, only in logos, nameplates and the design of the radiator grille. Chery Tiggo 7 Pro was withdrawn from sales in advance so as not to interfere with the entry of the Russian clone into the market, but back in March, Tiggo 7 Pro could be found at dealers for 2,570,000 rubles. Now Chery dealers offer in this class only the all-wheel drive Tiggo 7 Pro Max with a 1.6-liter gasoline turbo engine (150 hp, 275 Nm), a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission (with two clutches) and all-wheel drive. Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max costs from 2,940,000 rubles, but taking into account all possible discounts, the price can be lowered to 2,620,000 rubles, and if you take a crossover produced in 2023, the minimum price will be 2,515,000 rubles.
