Avatr 07 from Changan is preparing for the start of sales: the younger crossover appeared in new photos

The SUV will be offered as a hybrid or electric car. The model could make a full premiere as early as June.

The first photos of the new crossover of the Avatr brand without camouflage were posted online a couple of weeks ago. Now fresh branded images have been published, which show the SUV painted in a rich purple color. And in addition, Chinese specialized media circulated a spy shot of the interior. By the way, the Chinese previously predicted the name Avatr 15 for the cross, but the brand itself decided to assign the index 07 to the new product. Well, let us remind you that the brand is a joint project of the Changan company, the battery manufacturer CATL and the IT giant Huawei. Avatr 07 will become the third and most affordable model in the range: the SUV will join the cross-fastback Avatr 11 and the Avatr 12 sedan.

The exterior is made in the brand's corporate style; its main characteristic feature is sophisticated head optics. The Avatr 07 crossover also received retractable door handles and large wheels, and the rear lights were made in the form of separate thin strips. Optionally, lidar and cameras are provided instead of the usual exterior mirrors. And the “seven” has a full-fledged five-door body, while the Avatr 11 has a trunk lid that lifts up without a rear window (like a sedan). Avatr 07 length is 4825 mm, width – 1980 mm, height – 1620 mm, wheelbase – 2940 mm. For comparison, the dimensions of Avatr 11 are: 4880/1970/1601 mm, the distance between the axles is 2975 mm.

Inside, the “seven” also imitates other models of the brand. There is a flattened steering wheel and a two-story tunnel with two wireless charging pads; a large display is installed in the center. Multimedia – with the Harmony operating system from Huawei.

The Avatr 07 crossover has already been certified by the Chinese Ministry of Industry. According to its documents, the model will be offered as a hybrid or electric car (Avatr 11 and Avatr 12 are only “electric cars”). The installation of the hybrid “seven” included a 1.5 petrol turbo engine (operating in generator mode); this SUV has two modifications: with a 314-horsepower electric motor on the rear axle and dual-motor all-wheel drive, the total output of the second option is 492 hp. The pure electric cross will also be available with both rear-wheel drive (343 hp) and all-wheel drive (598 hp). There is no information about batteries yet.

The Chinese media are expecting a full presentation of Avatr 07 in June. The estimated starting price is 200,000 or 250,000 yuan (approximately 2.4 million or 3 million rubles at the current exchange rate). Avatr 11 2024 model year costs from 300,800 yuan (about 3.7 million rubles).
