A man suspected of attacking two girls in elevators were detained in the Moscow region. This was reported by the regional Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
The last attack occurred on May 26 in the elevator of an apartment building in Lytkarino. The man blocked the minor's path to the exit and began untying the laces on his sweatpants, approaching the victim. He ordered the girl not to scream, but she actively resisted and managed to escape from the elevator.
It was also established that a month earlier the suspect tried to rape a 19-year-old girl in the elevator. She also managed to break free and run out.
The detainee did not admit his guilt even after a confrontation and verification of testimony on the spot. Now law enforcement officers are looking for other possible victims and checking the suspect for involvement in similar crimes. Criminal cases on the facts of restriction of freedom and attempted rape have been combined into one proceeding, the collection of evidence continues.
