Russia will overcome the period of external restrictions in science, Medvedev said

MOSCOW, May 28. Russia is surrounded on all sides and they are trying to create uncomfortable conditions for science, but the Russian Federation will get through this period in the best possible way and achieve the results that we are talking about they couldn’t even think about it before, said Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, speaking at a general meeting of members of the Russian Academy of Sciences on Tuesday.
“Yes, we are surrounded here from all sides, they are trying to create uncomfortable conditions, including for scientific activity. But I am sure that all of us – both the Academy of Sciences and the scientific community – will get through this period in the best possible way. Ultimately, this will even contribute to the fact that we will achieve results that, perhaps, even some time ago we could not imagine, because any restrictions contribute to creativity, oddly enough,” Medvedev said.
