Press — Russian Presidential Secretary Dmitry Peskov on Friday, May 31, commented on reports that the Clooney Foundation for Justice, established by Hollywood actor and director George Clooney and his wife, lawyer Amal Clooney, intends to demand the arrest of Russian journalists in various countries.< /p>

The Kremlin speaker said that he invites “Russian journalists to ask these madmen for an argument.”

Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Russia (UJR) Vladimir Solovyov called threats against Russian journalists abroad unacceptable, from the Clooney Foundation. According to Solovyov, “Clooney and his wife can come up with any dirty tricks, but their dreams are unlikely to come true.”

Previously, the legal director of the Docket project, Anna Neistat, said that Clooney’s foundation will seek the arrest of Russian journalists in Europe. She motivated this by the fact that in the criminal codes of some states there is an article on “war propaganda.” Neistat admitted that the fund has not yet made such requests in any country.
