On Tuesday evening, a 13-year-old boy and his 11-year-old sister, along with a 67-year-old grandfather and two beagle dogs, went fishing on the Lipka River near the village of Burmakina, Slobodo-Turinsky district, Sverdlovsk region. After some time, returning back, they got lost. Everyone spent the night together in the open air; on Wednesday morning they divided into two groups and went in different directions. The elderly man managed to find his way back in the evening of the same day and returned, but the children and dogs were wanted. The grandfather, who was with the children, could not clearly tell the security forces about the circumstances of their disappearance, because he had recently suffered a stroke. The search was complicated by the fact that the lost people did not have phones. On Saturday morning, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the children were found alive.
Previously, law enforcement officers clarified that the brother and sister were found by a man who was combing the area on an ATV, and their dogs were found alive along with them. According to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, 654 specialists and 98 pieces of equipment were involved in the search.
