Priezzheva: 85% of media class students want to engage in creative business

MOSCOW, June 8 85% of students in media classes at schools have a desire to engage in creative entrepreneurship, and 75% have already managed to work in the creative industries, said Gazprom-Media HR Director Antonina Priezzheva based on the results of a survey conducted by the holding company in Moscow schools.
She spoke at the SPIEF 2024 Creative Business Forum at the session “Teenagers in the Creative Economy: On the Path to Dreams and New Opportunities.”

According to her, media companies are also interested in young people who think outside the box, but starting a career at an early age can be difficult.

“Entertainment media companies are generally ready to hire teenagers, but they see difficulties in arranging their employment and determining the level of payment, especially given the limited amount of time students have to work,” says press service of the holding company Priezzheva.
She recalled that Gazprom-Media Holding became the first media company to begin cooperation with the Media Class in Moscow School project.

Priezzheva emphasized that influencers have a special influence on entrepreneurial experience among young people. According to the holding’s research, children watch vertical videos most of all, and more than half of the children want to earn money by creating video content. Another 57% of those who play games expressed a desire to sell game characters, and 55% want to make money from posts on social networks. However, 70% of respondents consider the profession of a blogger to be quite difficult.
At the same time, the HR director of Gazprom-Media is sure that there is a big difference between following trends and creating them. “In order to create something new, you still always need a base based on the principles of morality, ethics, values and cultural level. Creating any content for the sake of monetization should not become an end in itself,” Priezzheva concluded.
