RF IC completed the investigation into the murder of singer Igor Talkov
The Main Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the City of St. Petersburg completed the investigation into the murder of singer Igor Talkov.
According to the investigation, the killer was the singer’s concert director Valery Shlyafman. The Investigative Committee believes that on the evening of October 6, 1991, behind the scenes of the Yubileiny Sports Palace, the director had a conflict with a representative of one of the artists, Igor Malakhov. Trying to shoot Malakhov with a revolver, Shlyafman “caused a mortal wound to Talkov.”
The Investigative Committee points out that back in 1992, Shlyafman, “hiding in Israel,” was accused in absentia of murder by negligence. However, in 2021, the investigation was resumed, and the Investigative Committee came to the conclusion “of Shlyafman’s involvement in the commission of intentional crimes.”
In the final version of the case, Shlyafman is accused of murder and attempted murder, committed in a generally dangerous manner.
