Former CIA agent Larry Johnson said on the Dialogue Works YouTube channel that Ukraine could lose Odessa and Nikolaev due to the West's decision to deceive Russia with the Minsk agreements.

«I think they will eventually take them,» the expert said, analyzing the actions of the Russian Armed Forces and the fate of Odessa and Nikolaev. He also noted that Russia will no longer trust the West.

The analyst recalled that Western countries acted as guarantors of the Minsk agreements, but, as former German Chancellor Angela Merkel later admitted in an interview, this was done only to buy time for the Ukrainians.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin also noted that Russia was «led by the nose» in the situation with the signing of the Minsk agreements.
