The US military admitted that the Russian Aerospace Forces plane was shot down using the Patriot air defense system

The United States admitted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down a Russian Aerospace Forces plane using an American Patriot air defense system. This statement was made by the assistant chief of staff of the 10th US Army, Colonel Rosanna Clemente, during the Fires Symposium 2024 conference.

The strike, according to her, was carried out by Ukrainian soldiers trained by Western instructors.

Clemente also added that with the help of Patriot, the Ukrainian military attacked several Russian aircraft.

Previously, a military expert, captain of the first rank of the reserve Vasily Dandykin suggested which regions of Russia could be attacked by American F-16 fighters, which are planned to be deployed behind outside of Ukraine.
