Steel.» First of all, it is dedicated to understanding the historical events in which we now find ourselves through contemporary art. We distributed standard army plates from army body armor to modern artists and asked them to create their own artistic compositions on them,» Cheprova said.
50 artists took part in the exhibition, among them academic painters and prize winners, as well as students of art universities and graffiti artists, each of whom turned one slab from a bulletproof vest into an art object; the artistic compositions were exhibited in one of the Donetsk museums.
«»At the moment we have about 50 slabs, there are 50 slabs, this is the number of a completed platoon, as we know. This is the Russian cultural code to promote in our art, in replacement of the art that we have had in recent decades at our government sites,” she said.
