Director Igor Merkulov died

MOSCOW, June 14. Russian director Igor Merkulov died at the age of 61, according to the VKontakte page of the Zheleznogorsk Operetta Theater.
The cause of his death has not been announced.
Merkulov was born in 1962. He graduated from GITIS, served at the Ermolova Theater, and later at the Gogol Theater. He has acted in films since childhood. In 1978, Igor Merkulov played in the film “The Investigation is Conducted by Experts.”

Over time, he began to direct. At the Zheleznogorsk Theater he staged the plays “Scarlet Sails” and “Humiliated and Insulted”.
