MOSCOW, June 24 Performance “Aviator” of the Tatar Puppet Theater “Ekiyat” in Kazan received the “Golden Mask”, became the best puppet show, the prize for the best acting work was received by Dilyus Khuzyakhmetov, and the best director of the puppet theater was Ilgiz Zainiev, the correspondent reports.

The best puppet theater artists were Yuri Suchkov and Emil Kapelyush for the play «King Lear» by Chuvashsky puppet theater in Cheboksary.
The prize for best actor in an operetta/musical was given to Stanislav Sikirin for his role as Pyotr Grinev in the production of “The Eagle and the Raven” at the Musical Theater in Krasnoyarsk. The winner of the award in the category “Best Supporting Role in an Operetta/Musical” was the performer of the role of Dositheus in the play “Peter I” at the Musical Comedy Theater in St. Petersburg. The best work of a conductor in an Operetta/Musical was recognized for his work in the production of “Sleepy Hollow” (Theatre-Theater, Perm) by Kirill Buzmakov. No prizes were awarded in the categories “Best Actress” and “Best Director”.
The award ceremony takes place on Monday on the historical stage of the State Academic Theater named after Evgeniy Vakhtangov.
«Golden Mask» is a professional award that was established in 1993 by the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation. The festival is held annually in Moscow and presents the best performances of the season in all types of theatrical art (drama, opera, ballet, modern dance, operetta/musical, puppet theater).
