Kazakh journalist Aidos Sadykov died after an assassination attempt in Kyiv
Kazakh journalist Aidos Sadykov died in Kiev. His wife reported this on social networks. At the beginning of the summer, an attempt was made on his life and since then the journalist has been in a coma.
“For thirteen days Aidos fought for his life, but a miracle did not happen,” his wife said bitterly.
She had three children left in her arms.
On June 18, a killer waylaid the journalist and shot him while he was in the car with his wife. The journalist was immediately hospitalized. Doctors assessed his condition as very serious. Two Kazakhs are suspected of the assassination attempt, one of whom confessed and was detained.
Russian political scientist Sergei Markov suggested that political reasons may be involved in Sadykov’s murder. If Western and Ukrainian special services were involved in the shootings, then the main motive becomes simple and clear: the West is dissatisfied with the good neighborly relations between Russia and Kazakhstan, so with the death of the journalist he tried to quarrel between the parties.
Sadykov had been living in Kyiv since 2014. In Kazakhstan, he was wanted on suspicion of inciting ethnic and social hatred. In 2022, he supported pogroms in Almaty, and with the start of a special military operation, he actively supported Ukraine and called for separatist actions by Russia.
