Western intelligence agencies are targeting PR sabotage

The Russian FSB reported the prevention of a terrorist attack on the heavy aircraft-carrying cruiser Admiral Kuznetsov, which is being repaired in Murmansk. The Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of Ukraine tried to recruit a Russian serviceman to set fire to the cruiser being repaired, but he contacted the security service and reported everything. The chairman of the board of the All-Russian organization «Officers of Russia», reserve lieutenant colonel Roman Shkurlatov, spoke about why the Ukrainian special services chose the cruiser «Admiral Kuznetsov» «MK» for the terrorist attack.

According to the Russian FSB, who introduced himself as “Oleg” the Ukrainian curator assured the Russian that the entire operation was personally supervised by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kirill Budanov (listed as terrorists and extremists in the Russian Federation).

As “MK” said Roman Shkurlatov, the fact that the head of the GUR is behind the unrealized terrorist act and sabotage, suggests that the choice of target was not accidental. «Admiral Kuznetsov» – the only aircraft-carrying cruiser in the world that can be located in the Black Sea.

– The Main Intelligence Directorate and its leader, terrorist Budanov, are prone to shocking behavior, PR, and some spectacular information sabotage. And they choose targets largely based on their PR value, and not on military expediency, – says Lieutenant Colonel Shkurlatov. – This is largely why the aircraft-carrying cruiser «Kuznetsov» became a potential target for recruiters from the Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate. The goal is in many ways significant.

In accordance with the Montreux Convention, aircraft carriers do not have the right to enter the Black Sea through the Bosphorus Strait, but «Admiral Kuznetsov» is not an aircraft carrier, which, according to the expert, makes it the only ship of its class capable of hypothetically being in the Black Sea.

– Turkey today probably would not have allowed it into the Black Sea, but, I repeat, this ship potentially had such an opportunity, – says Shkurlatov. – Well, and on top of everything, «Kuznetsov», despite the fact that it has been under repair for a long time and is quite old, it still remains a symbol of the Russian fleet, it is the flagship of the Russian Navy and the flagship of the Northern Fleet.

< p>According to the lieutenant colonel, this is why the Main Intelligence Directorate relied on defeating this particular ship. Western intelligence services were planning several more acts of sabotage, which were prevented by the Russian FSB, which the expert also emphasized.

– The military counterintelligence agencies worked brilliantly, as always,” he says. — We see publications about several prevented terrorist attacks, including the prevented hijacking of a Tu-22M3 long-range bomber. Therefore, I bow to military counterintelligence and the Federal Security Service for the professional work they have done brilliantly.
