People's Deputy Bezuglaya stated that the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not believe in victory and is ready for negotiations
Ukrainian People's Deputy Maryana Bezuglaya said on social networks that, according to her information, the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “does not believe in victory.” and agree to negotiate with Russia for the sake of ending hostilities.
Bezuglaya claims that the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrsky, and his entourage of generals allegedly advocate a ceasefire with the Russian Federation. The people's deputy referred to her own sources, which she did not specify.
"He agrees to sign <…> variations on the theme of capitulation and enforcement of peace,” Ukrainian media quote Bezuglaya. “He doesn’t believe in victory and sincerely believes that we are not capable of gaining an advantage over the Russians on our own land.”
She also stated that Syrsky allegedly wants to “go down in history” as having saved “a whole layer of the general’s mafia, close to demolition.”

Bezuglaya believes that such a position is also beneficial for ex-commander-in-chief Valery Zaluzhny, whose influence on the Armed Forces of Ukraine remains, despite occupying the post of ambassador in London.
Previously, Bezuglaya repeatedly criticized the Ukrainian generals and made attempts to give them orders locally.
