The brutal murder of a Moscow pensioner has been solved: the villain sprayed a can and sent an SMS

The criminal was betrayed by a random phone call

A former employee of a defense plant tried to disguise the murder of his girlfriend using an aerosol can. However, the man was given away by a random call.

As MK learned, on July 11, a corpse of 62 was discovered in an apartment in a residential building on Academician Pavlov Street -year-old pensioner with four stab wounds. Her sister came to visit the woman — she saw a missed call from a relative on her phone, could not get through to the pensioner and decided to personally make sure that everything was okay with her. 

Experts determined that the unfortunate woman was killed approximately on the night of July 7-8. Neighbors told officers that they smelled a strong odor of aerosol that night. As it turned out later, the killer sprayed the substance in the apartment so that the cadaverous smell would not attract the attention of strangers. 

After watching the surveillance cameras, investigators found out that an acquaintance of hers, a former military sapper, came to visit the woman. The man once served in Chechnya, and also worked for some time at a defense plant. During his last visit, he had an argument with a pensioner and stabbed the woman several times. Then the criminal washed all the sharp dishes, and on behalf of the pensioner, he sent a calming SMS to all her friends — they say she went on vacation, it will be later. He called the sister of the deceased, apparently by accident, and this circumstance played a fatal role for the killer.

The suspect was detained on July 12 in his apartment. As Yulia Ivanova, senior assistant to the head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for Moscow, told MK, a preventive measure will be chosen for him in the near future.
