The number of victims of a major forest fire in Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Territory, has increased to two people. This was reported on the morning of Monday, July 15, at the regional operational headquarters.

It is clarified that both sought medical help at one of the city hospitals, but refused hospitalization. Let us remind you that the first victim of the fire was a security guard at one of the recreation centers – he received burns.

Also, the operational headquarters reported that the number of buildings destroyed in the Durso farm increased to 60.

We would like to remind you that a major fire near Novorossiysk occurred on Sunday, July 14. The fire from the ignited grass quickly spread through the forest.

The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations brought in aviation to extinguish the fire – an Il-76 aircraft and two Ka-32 and Mi-8 helicopters. Local authorities asked residents for help in extinguishing the fire.

According to preliminary information, the fire could destroy up to a thousand hectares of vineyards.
