KEMEROVO, July 16Drunk teenagers in Kuzbass damaged 166 tombstones, the father of one of them was brought to administrative responsibility, reports the press service of the Main Department of Internal Affairs for the Kemerovo Region.
The Investigative Committee previously stated that two teenagers, 13 and 15 years old, damaged military graves, including the graves of SVO participants in the village of Berezovo, Novokuznetsk region, and a pre-investigation check is being carried out. According to eyewitnesses, 96 monuments and 8 crosses were damaged.
«In the Novokuznetsk district, police identified two minors who damaged 166 tombstones at a local cemetery… dropping them to the ground,» reports the press service of the main department.
It is clarified that the schoolchildren came from Novokuznetsk to visit relatives. Together with their legal representatives, the minors were taken to the police department.
“The teenagers explained that they were intoxicated and damaged the tombstones,” the report says.
In relation to the father of one of the teenagers, the police drew up a report under Art. 20.22 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Being in a state of intoxication of minors, their consumption (drinking) of alcoholic and alcohol-containing products, or their consumption of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances, new potentially dangerous psychoactive substances or intoxicating substances”, threatening a fine of up to 2 thousand rubles.
Police officers and investigators of the Investigative Committee are establishing the circumstances of the incident; based on the results of the investigation, a decision will be made in accordance with the law.
The Kuzbass Prosecutor's Office is also checking the implementation of legislation on the prevention of neglect and juvenile delinquency.
