DOM.RF will work out the use of bonds for the construction of socially important infrastructure in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic. The parties signed the corresponding agreement at the Caucasus Investment Forum.
The pilot project in the region may be the construction of heat supply networks for the Severny microdistrict in Cherkessk under a concession. The need for an infrastructure loan is estimated at 1 billion rubles, the total cost is 1.2 billion rubles.
“The mechanism launched by DOM.RF helps to solve one of the most pressing problems of the regions — the lack of funds for the construction and modernization of infrastructure. With the help of infrastructure bonds, developers receive preferential financing for a long term, which helps them implement projects of varying complexity and scale. These can be schools, kindergartens, highways and, of course, engineering and utility networks for new microdistricts. The emergence of such facilities stimulates housing construction, provides people with a comfortable life and creates conditions for the development of the local economy,” emphasized Alexander Aksakov, Director of the Infrastructure Bonds division of DOM.RF.
According to preliminary estimates, the implementation of the project in the Severny microdistrict will allow more than 250 thousand square meters of housing to be commissioned.
“The cooperation that we have established with DOM.RF and personally with Vitaly Mutko is very important and valuable for us. And today's agreement is a significant project, including a social one, which will help us solve problems with heat supply to apartments in which 5 thousand families, or more than 20 thousand people, live. Our cooperation with DOM.RF also includes other areas, including in the tourism sector. Today we discussed our cooperation in more detail, and I hope to expand the formats of our cooperation with the company,” emphasized the head of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic Rashid Temrezov.
