MOSCOW, July 15 Actor from the TV series “Truckers,” screenwriter and director Yuri Kuzmenko died at the age of 75, the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation reported on the Telegram channel.

"At the age of 76, theater and film actor, director, screenwriter, member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia Yuri Aleksandrovich Kuzmenko passed away. <…> His acting debut took place in 1974 in the film “Your Rights?” directed by Inessa Selezneva. The actor’s creative biography includes 35 roles in such films as: “Take care of women”, “First flight, last flight”, “Battle of Moscow”, “Unidentified person”, “Tragedy of the century” and others,” the publication says.
Yuri Kuzmenko was born on May 25, 1949 in Kharkov. In 1972 he entered GITIS. From 1976 to 1981 he worked in Chisinau at the Film Actor's Theater at the Moldova-Film film studio. After the theater closed, Kuzmenko went to Odessa and worked at the local drama theater. Afterwards he entered the directing department of VGIK (workshop of Yuri Ozerov).
