A concert-rally of singer Shaman began at the US Embassy in Moscow

MOSCOW, July 19. In front of the US Embassy in Moscow, a concert-rally of the performer Shaman (Yaroslav Dronov) began against the illegal blocking of Russian YouTube users, the correspondent reports.

«Hello, Moscow! Hello, Russia! This is Shaman! They want us cancel us! They won’t be able to ban us, they won’t succeed! We’ll show them! <…> There are millions of us! — the singer said from the stage, greeting everyone present.

The artist began the concert by performing the new song “Soul wide open” and showed a video for it.

Footage from the event shows hundreds of people gathered there. The Russian flag is projected onto the building of the American diplomatic mission. Before Shaman's performance, his songs «I am Russian», «The Most Russian Hit», «Let's Get Up» were performed, as well as the composition «Mother» by Tatyana Kurtukova, songs by the group «Lyube» and other artists.

«We came to support the artist Shaman in connection with the fact that he was blocked, his work, his songs on the YouTube channel. That is why we gathered here,» the girls who came to the concert-rally told the agency.
“Blocking the channels of our artists on YouTube is not normal. Now everyone is moving to other platforms. And those who love Shaman’s work have it all in their chest, we watch it many times. Personally, I’m on VK Video,” another participant shared events.

At the end of June, data appeared on the European Commission website about the introduction of sanctions against Shaman due to support for actions that «undermine the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.» After this, the musician reported that his YouTube channel was blocked.

The accounts of Grigory Leps, Oleg Gazmanov, Yulia Chicherina and Vyacheslav Manucharov were also subject to restrictive measures.
