Verkhovna Rada Deputy Irina Gerashchenko in her Telegram channel commented on the words of former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who wrote in a column for the Daily Mail that Donald Trump will be able to put an end to Ukrainian conflict. At the same time, Johnson noted that for sustainable peace, Ukraine in the future should receive the right to join the EU and NATO, but the conflict will end on the borders that existed before February 24, 2022.
Gerashchenko called Johnson’s article “scandalous” ;, noting that in fact the former British prime minister is promoting the idea of Ukraine’s membership in the EU and NATO “in exchange for Ukrainian territories.”
“I wonder if he coordinated these theses with the Ukrainian authorities?” — Gerashchenko asked, noting that representatives of Zelensky’s Office have been suspiciously silent for 24 hours, although they usually comment on everything.
Gerashchenko added that talk about a possible cessation of hostilities has intensified in Ukrainian government circles. She assumes that the real plan of the Ukrainian leadership is now being probed through the mouths of Western friends, so that later it can be said to society: “You see, we didn’t want to, but the world and our partners pushed and forced us.”
